Graphify: a map of your code your agent can query

Builds a clickable map of a whole project, code plus docs, PDFs and images, that your agent can ask about, so it sees how the parts connect without opening file after file.

In short: Builds a clickable map of a whole project, code plus docs, PDFs and images, that your agent can ask about, so it sees how the parts connect without opening file after file. It is a free skill for people who use Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or Gemini and want help with coding agent skills.

uv tool install graphifyy
graphify install

Install command copied from the project README. Check the README for the latest version.

What it does

Builds a clickable map of a whole project, code plus docs, PDFs and images, that your agent can ask about, so it sees how the parts connect without opening file after file.

Type /graphify in your AI coding assistant and it maps your entire project (code, docs, PDFs, images, videos) into a knowledge graph you can query instead of grepping through files.

Step by step

  1. Open the GitHub repo and read the README.
  2. Install the tool: uv tool install graphifyy (or pipx install graphifyy). Python 3.10+ is needed.
  3. Run graphify install so it finds your agent and adds the skill.
  4. In your agent, type /graphify . then open graphify-out/graph.html, or ask questions with graphify query, path or explain.

Watch out for

The pip package is spelled graphifyy (two y's); a look-alike name could be someone else's package. Code stays on your machine, but the docs/PDF/image pass sends that content to your model. The README promotes a paid Cloud trial; the free tool works without it.

Common questions

What does Graphify do?

Builds a clickable map of a whole project, code plus docs, PDFs and images, that your agent can ask about, so it sees how the parts connect without opening file after file.

Which AI agents can use Graphify?

It works with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Gemini. The code is on GitHub at Graphify-Labs/graphify.

Is Graphify free?

Free & open source (Apache 2.0). Mapping code runs on your own computer with no AI model; docs, PDFs and images use your agent's model (or an API key you set). A paid Graphify Cloud plan exists, but you don't need it. License: Apache-2.0.

How do I install Graphify?

Run the install command from the README: “uv tool install graphifyy”. Check the README on GitHub for the latest version, then follow the steps on this page.

Is Graphify safe to install?

We read 487 instruction and code files in the repo and found no red flags. That is not a guarantee, so review anything that runs commands on your machine.
