What it does

One install gives your agent a plan, test, build, review and remember routine, with 71 helper agents, about 300 skills, memory between sessions and a built-in scanner for risky agent settings.

Your agent can write code, but ECC gives it a coordinated engineering system and toolbox: it plans before it builds, verifies changes with tests, reviews its own work from a fresh context, remembers what matters, and…

Step by step

  1. Open the GitHub repo and read the README.
  2. Install Node.js 18+, Git and Claude Code, then run: npx [email protected] setup (the README has the current version).
  3. For a personal setup pick Global user and the Standard hook profile, then confirm.
  4. Ask your agent to plan a feature and follow the ECC loop: plan, test, build, review, verify.

Watch out for

It adds hooks that run on every session; start with the Standard profile and don't stack a manual install on top. The project warns that unofficial copies may carry malware: install only from github.com/affaan-m/ECC, the ecc-universal npm package or ecc.tools. Formerly called everything-claude-code.
