What it does

Your coding agent connects to an Android or Google TV over Wi-Fi, switches off the ad and tracking apps, and puts in a clean, Apple TV-style home screen. Nothing is uninstalled.

Android TVs have the same debug bridge as Android phones. Switch on USB debugging in the TV's developer options, allow your computer once, and the rest is standard Android tooling:

Inside the repo

How it worksQuick startWhat you getSupported TVsDoing it by handThe launcherRestoring your TVWhen something goes wrongQuestions people askContributingContactLicence

Step by step

  1. Open the GitHub repo and read the README.
  2. On the TV: Settings → Device Preferences → About, press Build seven times, then turn on USB debugging (and network debugging if you see it).
  3. Clone the repo, open your agent inside it, paste PROMPT.md and add your TV model. Accept the "Allow USB debugging?" box on the TV.
  4. Answer the agent's checklist (which apps you use, which four go in the dock). It backs up first, then debloats and installs the launcher. Turn USB debugging off when done.

Watch out for

Only for Android TV and Google TV sets (the repo lists 147 tested models). It switches off system apps, so read the agent's list before you say yes; tools/restore.sh puts everything back. Leaving USB debugging on lets anyone on your Wi-Fi control the TV, so switch it off afterwards. Started from a viral post by the author, @gathint, on 17 Oct 2026.
