What it does

Google's open-source plugin for designing before you build: your main agent drafts the spec with full project context, then fresh subagents with no memory of the chat attack it to find gaps before a line of code is written.

Step by step

  1. Open the GitHub repo and read the quick start, or the project website.
  2. Install it: in Claude Code run claude plugin marketplace add google/elephant-goldfish-model then claude plugin install egm@egm (in Codex: codex plugin marketplace add google/elephant-goldfish-model, then codex plugin add egm@egm).
  3. Start a new session and explore a feature, e.g. /egm:egm-brainstorm Add webhook delivery to this project.
  4. Run /egm:egm-draft to write the spec, /egm:egm-review on the draft, settle the findings, approve it, then ask your agent to build it.

Watch out for

It is meant for features that need design decisions; for a small clear bug fix it is overkill. Reviews need an agent that can start fresh subagents and stop otherwise. A review does not replace tests or your own judgement.
