Step by step
- Open the GitHub repo and read Start and What happens.
- Install with npx skills add ethanplusai/astro-conversion-kit (or the Claude Code plugin marketplace).
- Ask your agent: convert https://your-site.com to Astro with this kit, and answer its one intake message (or say defaults).
- Review the contact sheets and the pull request, then follow docs/LAUNCH.md to go live yourself.
Watch out for
A full run takes about an hour and a half on average and uses a lot of agent time. It crawls the live site (paced, read-only), so only run it on sites you own or manage. Dynamic parts such as search, comments, carts and logins are out of scope and get flagged at intake. macOS or Linux only; it never touches DNS and leaves the merge and launch to you.
